Problems with Christianity's "Eternal" Punishment in Hell

Excerpt from "The Good News: How Revealing Delusions In Christianity Will Bring Peace To All"

I thought I would share this point with you guys as it is one of the more interesting points that I bring up to fundamentalist Christians. It has made a few of the fundies I have brought it up to re-think their beliefs, and I always find their dumbfounded looks quite humorous.

Jesus said unto his disciples that in the regeneration each of the twelve disciples will sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Jesus states that even Judas will sit upon a throne of high power.

Most of present-day Christianity believes that Judas is in eternal punishment in Hell. Jesus is stating that Judas will have a throne of high power. How will Judas have a high throne of power in the regeneration if Judas is suffering eternal punishment in Hell?

Matthew 19: 28

28 And Jesus said unto them (the disciples), Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon the twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

I can see this only causing them to rethink their beliefs about Judas, not about the whole system. "Oh, I guess he's not in hell after all..."
