THE GIST
Comment by James Cox on May 1, 2012 at 12:40am Dear Folks:
So I am assuming that this also refers to christians? If christians were PO before, they should be only a little less happy now. It does seem to have a passing resembelance to family, the four fragela was a dead give away. I don't think I have any recent family from Norway, atleast in the last half billion years. I'll talk to my mother, she seems to know more than I do about the family tree..LOL ;p)

So how do we keep our amazement, without being exhausted? Sometimes it seems nice to curl up with a simple provisional truth, even for a few moments, before the next one comes down the pike. Atleast if one is science versed, not adversed, newness can be a source of deep humility, tempered, at times with a little scaryness. I think this is the one big issue that christians have, scaryness bound to limited humility. They want the absolute, even before it is honestly possible?
Comment by Rob Klaers on May 1, 2012 at 1:07am @James.. well, unless Christians come from space (and even then it still might not change things if the Mars Hypothosis turns out to be correct) then yes this would apply to Christians too.. :)
Comment by SteveInCO on May 1, 2012 at 11:59am I guess calling someone "pond scum" won't be such an insult any more.
