"Not Together"

I wish her love would stand still

I'm tired of trying to be in focus

And she wants me to follow the line

Say I accept her Jesus for all time

Honey I won't lie and say that I will, even for you

I wouldn't be telling the truth

Then every time you say something is in your god's hands

My head would look down

Nothing will happen even though your faith is great

I's smile at you holding in the words

That may get me kicked to the curve

Feeling damaged inside

She doesn't even read the manual

But she surely does believe

And even though her eyes seemed to have been made with a purpose in mind

I have to decline and admit that a link won't be found

She just goes on like they tell her to

Never questioning and without asking for proof

Afraid of the lake of fire

Made for anyone that dares to inquire

So see my mask would eventually would expire

If she were to ask me to pray

Even if it was one day, even if it was just one day

She would see the look on my face
