For all of those in favor of gay marriage, what are the feelings on polygamy?

Oh, and I just noticed that I spelled 'marriage' wrong in the title to this blog :)

I believe you can edit the spelling, Andy.

"Should a married group be held to additional standards that do not apply to married couples?"

For example, suppose it's a polygynous situation and one wife thinks her husband is having too much sex with another of the wives? or not enough sex with her? or too much sex with her (go have sex with Judy, why don't you?)?

Is there such a thing as divorce in a polygamous marriage?

Unseen, yes, how are relationship disputed handled? I could be wrong, but but generally, it seems that most of polygamous marriages are poygynous, and the man is in charge, meaning he has final say in everything. Now in contrast to gay marriage, I guess gay divorce would work the same as heterosexual divorce.

My whole point to this thread is that, changing the definition of marriage is ok, but then it is now less clear to me what is wrong (legally or ethically) with polygamous marriage? And it seems to me that those pushing for gay marriage ought to help answer that question.

"...most of polygamous marriages are poygynous, and the man is in charge, meaning he has final say in everything."

That is so wrong I don't know where to begin.

"and the man is in charge, meaning he has final say in everything."

Um, are you married yourself, Andy? ;-)
