Nature is opportunistic in its creative way such as where a species can somehow perceive a means of survival it will adapt itself to go there. I guess what helped to inspire this thought was my experience some time ago with bedbugs.. if there was a god why would he allow bedbugs to torture his innocent creatures? Well not only bedbugs but all the bugs that cause disease, suffering and death and yet not only that but the animals that feed off other animals like a lion ripping up a zebra while it is still alive and stuff like that.. Nature is mindlessly opportunistic in its creative way.. people will say 'look at the beauty of nature, how can you say there is no god?'.. Well take a look at how nature's pine beetle has ravaged the forests here in British Columbia. Its a dog eat dog world, ya know. Point being that if there was a god I don't think it would be that way.

that's a misrepresentation of evolution. animals don't perceive a means of survival. you're imparting desire and intent into the process of natural selection.

no offense intended but this is your second or third post here and i've already seen you misrepresent evolution twice. i can only suggest you do some reading on the topic.
you can't go wrong with any of these:
Jerry Coyne- Why Evolution Is True
Richard Dawkins- The Greatest Show on Earth
Richard Dawkins- Climbing Mount Improbable
Sean B. Carrol- The Making of The Fittest
Carl Zimmer- Evolution
Ernst Mayr- What Evolution Is
Douglas Futuyma- Evolution

anyway, on the topic of your larger point, nature certainly is red in tooth and claw. the reality leaves little room for a benevolent god. Darwin himself was appalled at parasitic wasps that lay their eggs in the host body of a live caterpillar whereupon the larvae consume the still live caterpillar from the inside out.

I'd add The Selfish Gene and Unweaving The Rainbow as well.
