I see deism sort of like the way flowering plants, protozoans, or invertebrates procreate. I know this doesn't explain us since we are not autogamic but it's just how I view their case with deism.

I see what you mean, noodly nancy, and I understand why. Sunny Deism was originally created as a pseudoreligion, but has evolved since then. Personally, I don't believe in a god, but if there were a god, I imagine it would be a scientific being. If it were to create all the laws of the universe, wouldn't one imagine that it be a scientific being? Thus, creating humans and animals directly does not seem something such a being would do, rather, I imagine he would let the laws he created take effect and create the universe from there. So, I do understand why this being would not make sense to someone, but, by making relatively reasonable assumptions, one would see why a scientific god would sit back and watch his invention work. Still, I don't believe in a god, but if I were forced to, as my parents tried so hard to do, I would choose a scientific god that supported evolution and similar scientific ideals over the desert god, God.
