Over the past few months, I've had that urge to get another tattoo. After some searching, I decided that I wanted something featuring Darwin's evolutionary tree. I gave my artist a picture of Darwin's 'tree' and told him to get creative. I'm so ecstatic about how it turned out and it's my new favorite piece! I absolutely love it! :) Ink by Moto @ Amber Island Tattoo in Easley, SC

Not a tattoo liker to be perfectly honest, but that was actually pretty cool and I admire your guts to go through with the needled needless pain. ;)

Hmm, does that also look at little bit like the burning bush engulfed in yellow/orange flames? ;)

@Judith - From wiki: "Today, people choose to be tattooed for cosmetic, sentimental/memorial, religious, and magical reasons, and to symbolize their belonging to or identification with particular groups, including criminal gangs (see criminal tattoos) but also a particular ethnic group or law-abiding subculture."

I presume the very last one is the case.

I find it's about as bad to not have one as it is to have one. It's not for me, but my only bias is against those which get them without any deeper meaning. This one takes interpretation and a personal explanation - that's pretty cool.

Scarlette - I love your tattoo, it's exquisite.  Judith - I think that a well thought out and well executed tattoo makes a really strong statement and can be exquisitely beautiful. I guess that appreciation, or not, of tattoos depends on how a person chooses to view them.

This is great! I've been trying to think of something new to get for myself and you've sent my imagination into a new direction. Thanks!
