My birthday is on the unconstituional national day of prayer.

The first thursday of every may is the US's national day of prayer. This year it happens to fall on my birthday. May 6th. I wish there was something i could do that day to protest this religious throat craming BS that has somehow found its way into our government. What day is blasphemy day? And is it held on that day for a reason? Wishfull thinking i know but i think it would kick ass if we held blasphemy day on my birthday. I'll tweet like it is when that day comes. Smile :-) god is make believe.

I've never heard of this National Day of Prayer. You live in the US, right? Well, I'm sorry. Lol. But there are worse things lol. I mean I can't imagine it's a HUGE holiday that you can't avoid for the entire day... it isn't, right? Anyway... Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! :D I know we OBSERVE it on Monday but today is his actual birthday lol. ;) And my birthday is in 1 week. :D Luckily nothing religious is associated with January 22nd, my birthday.

Blasphemy day is, as I recall, held on Sept 30th because of the publication of the Danish cartoons that sparked such incoherent outrage in the radical Muslim population.

However, the (unconstitutional) Day of Prayer does share its day with the Day of Reason, so be glad of that, anyway. :)

A popular option seems to be giving blood on the NDOP. Perhaps not the ideal way to spend a birthday, getting a large needle stuck in your arm, but donating blood can actually help people. Unlike prayer.

Pedophile Priests Day? You've got to be kidding me. That is not a day LOL.

And yeah giving blood sounds like a good idea! I actually tried to give blood on my birthday last year but they couldn't find my veins - apparently I don't drink enough water especially now that I'm in college lol. But I've given blood twice in the past, it's a really good thing to do lol.

Oh yeah I vaguely remember my high school's Fellowship of Christian Athletes group meeting before school at like 6:00am to do something like that at the flag pole one time... maybe it was on that day... luckily our school was pretty liberal despite our town being pretty conservative... they liked to respect the separation of church and state though so I was oblivious of most of it. LOL.

The only thing I know about the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is that those in my high school threatened to beat my ass if I didn't accept Jesus as my lord and savior.

Jason - I *LOVE* the idea of giving blood as an obvious contrast to useless, feel good prayer.
