Lawmakers pass bill to limit TV commercial volume.

It's about time. Why did congress have to get involved rather than just have the FCC do it? Does the FCC regulate volume for any programming? Can different stations, or programs have different dB levels?

yeah the FCC can sensor anything it finds offensive, but doesn't care about our eardrums! lol
