Haha! :) - Very very true Monica.  If I absolutely know that there are no gods then I can't be agnostic, but if I believe that I can't absolutely know that there are no gods then I must be agnostic even though I am an atheist.

Dawkins puts it really well when he says that if on a scale of 1 to 10 1 is an absolute belief in god and 10 is the absolute certainty there is no god, then the thinking person can only reasonably say that they are an 8 or 9.

I considered myself agnostic for a long time until I finally realized that I had no reason to believe. I'm the hand with one finger.

Atheism is a belief position, and agnosticism is a knowledge position. One can be an agnostic atheist, a gnostic atheist, a gnostic theist or an agnostic theist.
