As I read all the people who join this forum, for me what really stands out are people who signed themselves as "never a part of a religion"

I find this painfully unfair and yes I am so unbelievably jealous. I didn't know such people existed. What kind of animals are you?

How do you go about being born into a family that doesn't shove mystical shit down your throat when you are 3 years old and helpless? Screw you up with logic like, if you don't go to church you're sinning and going to hell! That didn't force you to waste precious hours attending nonsense church classes? That didn't force you into uncomfortable dress clothing and sit quietly on uncomfortable benches when all you can think about is Sunday morning television programming? That made you memorize useless prayers? I really want to know your secret.

I attended Catholic church religiously (redundant, yes) every Sunday for 16 years and to top it off, Saturdays between 2-4 pm (prime mall shopping hours) I had CCD or catechism with a nun. That's Catholic instruction classes for you non-Catholics.

I say, all of you who have not attended church or done some form of worship should be forced into experiencing true torture by joining a church. That way, we are all on a level playing field. Yes, this will be very popular amongst you recovering churchaholics (like me).

And you know what? When I get reincarnated, I'm going to find me a non-religious family to be born into, how do you like them apples? (yeah, yeah, there's no such thing as apples).

Thanks for allowing me this communal rant.

I'm sorry, I can't say the same! Please don't hate me. The only time I've stepped foot in a church was for a funeral. Oh and for a class trip one time. And when I went to Paris. But never to attend a service. I don't know if I can get myself to go as far as joining a church, but I'd gladly attend several services at different types of churches in order to broaden my understanding.

HA! I second that!!! I mean, we can't fight the enemy if we don't know them intimately, right?? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer??? Eh... maybe not though...
