The main page didn't give me much room to talk about my interests or anything so I'll do it here. I'll do the typical boring "books, movies, songs" stuff last. First off: I love flight. I love planes, spaceships, and especially dirigibles which I am really hoping will make a comeback. I am also fascinated by robots and artificial intelligence. I consider myself something of a futurist or transhumanist but don't go nearly as extreme as a lot of them do. I'm pretty good with computers. I wouldn't say it was an interest but I end up helping people get rid of viruses a lot and may end up doing something IT related as a living of my airship transport company doesn't pan out.

Politically I tend to lean far left but it's not a huge part of my life. I'd be much happier for society collapsed and everyone reverted into small agrarian communities. I guess I'm a bit of a survivalist and eco-freak but I also am a technophile so I'd require my commune/anarchist collective to have solar panels and if possible, hi speed internet.

I think I'm mostly a decent, if reclusive, human being that cares about the world at large, but I do have rhe occasional urge for world domination or genocide or something. But that's normal, right?... right?

Movies:Che, If...., Le Diable Probablement, A Clockwork Orange, The Dark Knight, There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Alien, Aliens, Blade Runner, Pan's Labyrinth, The Devil's Backbone, Children of Men, City of God, Idiocracy, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, anything Studio Ghibli, anything with robots in it especially if they win.

Music: Joanna Newsom, Klaus Nomi, Bowie, Daft Punk, Kraftwerk, Flaming Lips, Notwist, Radiohead, Neutral Milk Hotel, Interpol, Cloud Cult, Xiu Xiu, Tom Waits, Animal Collective (I went to the same middle school that a couple of the member went to and my best friend's older brother was in their class and was good friends with them, so by the commutative property of best friends Animal Collective is my best friend. I recommend that you be jealous), Sigur Ros, Mika, The Smiths, New Order, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Wolf Parade, TV on the Radio, The Mountain Goats, Boredoms, Bauhaus, The Clash, Elliott Smith, the Decemberists, Explosions in the Sky, Flight of the Conchords, Iggy Pop with or without the Stooges, Muse, Rage Against the Machine, Yes, Journey

Books: A Song of Ice and Fire, anything by Richard Dawkins, non-fiction about science and especially space, Godel Escher Bach

Love your movie preferences! Hayao Miyazaki is my hero!

You describe yourself as a futurist. Ever heard of Buckminster Fuller? He was the interesting, ingenious person responsible for the implementation of geodesic domes.

Anyway, thanks for sharing more about yourself than what fits in those little intro boxes! ;-)
