If Atheists acted like Christians
I took my children to the park last weekend. The weather was perfect for it. Well we were not alone. There was a church gathering there of some sort. I was playing with with my sons, minding my own beezwax. When this middle-aged woman holding a bible in her hands, invited us to her church and told us how much jesus loved me and my children. I told her the same thing I tell any theist who feels the need to tell me about there religion. I'm not interested. I also told her I was spending quality time with my children and I would preferred to be left alone to do so,
She gave me the oddest look and said a GBU and left.
But it got me thinking.
What if Atheists acted like Theists (in this case christians)
What atheists went door knocking telling ppl "god" does not exist.
OR gave their children bubble gum to bribe their children to attend "atheists meeting halls"
OR woke them up early on a Saturday morning to tell them "the good news" that there is no god.
OR lobbied to keep christians from getting married.
OR shot abortionists.
OR strapped bombs to ourselves to express our unbelief.
I wonder how they would react if I (an atheist) went up to them when they are having a nice family outing and said "I just felt the need to tell you "god" doesnt exist".
what do ya'll think?

I've always said that Christians among other theists our brainwashed into having a special kind of conviction that they have the spread their beliefs every chance they get.

lol @ Doug & jon......that's cause they have the holy ghost telling them what dirty heathens we are!!!!! but if unbelievers did those things it wouldn't be widely accepted is my guess.

Why don't Christians act like Christians? Or better yet. Why not tell them they should act more like Hindus?

I think we'd be at the least viewed with disgust and hate, like we just admitted to eating newborn kittens with milk for breakfast. Funny how Christianity is equated with goodness and it's perfectly acceptable to try to "share" it with others, but atheism is equated with all that is wrong with the world.
