I updated my Will. I am donating 20% of all I have to Think Atheist

So I have been on Think Atheist for ever, and I if you don't already know this, I take care of my Grandmother 24/7. One of the things she had me do last week was help update her will. So it got me thinking! With how much I love this site (read my past blogs) and how much it has kept me from not going crazy with all the religious bullshit I see and deal with every day, I have decided to donate 20% of all my earnings to Think Atheist when I pass. In hope to further the reach of the sites mission. To let others know it is okay to be atheist. At least that is what is has done for me.

I used Legal Zoom. If you have not made a will yet, I highly recommend you do so. Also be sure to get asking and or help your loved ones! There is nothing worse on this planet than families fighting over money!

Keep on trucking my beautiful love.

You're young, nothing is going to happen to you. No need to worry. ThinkAtheist prob. won't be around in 60-70 years when people like us start to get to the point of mortality...hopefully medicine will improve and we will be able to reverse aging but no reason to even say stuff like this right now!!

Hi Sophie, thanks so very much for your support and your generous offer. It is really something special to be apart of! :] I am glad you keep coming back and you hit the nail on the head with the sites mission. Thanks for believing in the site and helping untold others on the edge of their religion.

You do make a excellent point about having a updated will. Anyone remember the Terri Schiavo incident?

Again! Thank you so very much!

What??? It is NOT ok to be an Atheist!!!

(Oh wait.  Yes it is.)

Brilliant decision.  I have the same ideas myself and I'm sure if Think Atheist is still around , I will donate money to it when I become financially stable.  This is the coolest Atheist site ever.  :)

the one point i would like to make is that u should have probably gone with a local lawyer than through legal zoom as most lawyers will do ur first will for free (i mean at no cost to you), or at worse half the cost than legal zoom........

@sassan k., why should we say thinkatheist won't be around?  there were people "like us" prior to the internet, and there will be after we die.  to sophie, this is a great thing you have done.  it shows how committed you are to the fight for intellectual freedom, more importantly, human freedom, in the face of the religious oppression that still attempts to choke the world dead.

Only because I want her to have a long life and the chances are that thinkatheist will have become a worldwide powerful force!!! lol it was just putting things to perspective of a hopeful long-life. Nothing to do with thinkatheist specifically :)

Actually, hopefully much more of society by then will be atheist that we won't have to go to a message board specifically made for it...that was more my original point :)
