The first thing I would test out if you could is test out the connection on your wife's computer if she has one or a friends one if possible.

Also is it possible to hard reset your router? All you have to do is unplug it then count to 10 seconds and replug it in. (This may vary based on your router) IF that does not work do a master reset on your router by pressing the little "reset" button for about 10 seconds or so with a pencil or pen. (BTW master resetting your router will also remove the protection you had on it so you will have to log into the router to set it all up again. You can find all the instructions on the router manufacturer site.)

Please let me know if anything comes of it.

Or if anyone else has any ideas.

First off, why are you using IE?

yes LaRea, I restart every day after maintaince is done on sechedule.

Morgan, I know the wife has internet as we both run off the same router.

Update your network drivers. Download and install the latest windows 7 network drivers (LAN and WiFi) for your computer. You should be able to find them on the manufacturers website.

It seems a little odd that it only does it on this website. So I would maybe try a new browser as well.

Sounds like a browser issue to me. Try Firefox and see if the same thing happens.

when my messenger fails it fails on the key ports. does that help anyone? I dont think I am willing to upload a different browser.
