The Man from Earth Not an action packed blockbuster and no Oscar winner either; but a very compelling thought provoker. The Man from Earth (IMDB) is the last work of writer Jerome Bixby (of Twilight Zone and Star Trek fame); and it is currently available to stream on Netflix if you have an account (its only available to stream until February 1st). The story confronts the "you can't prove you are right, and I can't prove you are wrong" dilemma. The characters also debate the ideas of a deity or deities, and how man created gods to explain the unexplainable, and how religion has warped the premise. The shocker came about midway into the movie when they start to discuss the Jesus mythos; and I've got to say I really love the take on it. Well worth a watch if you have the time (87 minutes long).
