When I say I hate you, there are a few things you need to understand.

I do not hate you because of your race. We're all Homo Sapiens. We differ in the details, but at our core, we're so similar that it hardly matters at all what our skin color is. This reason is also why I do not hate you because of your gender, or your sexuality. These things are meaningless, in the big picture.

I do not hate you because of your religion. I've been on the receiving end of that hatred. Blind, blazing hot, nonsensical, and completely uncalled for hatred is not something I wish to inflict upon anyone.

No, if I say I hate you, then it's because you're an asshole. It's because you deserve to be hated. Some aspect of your personality, some portion of your consciousness makes you revolting. Maybe you talk to much. Maybe you try to force your will upon others. Maybe you just seem to delight in making my life difficult. It could be any of these things, or something else entirely, but I assure you: I hate you because you have EARNED my hatred. I hate you, and you have to work to change that.
