Like...I don't even know where to start with people. The ignorance is starting to give me horrible headaches. I know like four people who are atheist. I'm in a deep sea of water and sometimes it feels like I'm drowning. My Facebook...So much fighting.

I could....that's an idea.

I deactivated my FB account and it has been a good thing.

I kept my Facebook account but suppressed all the feeds from 'friends' and only have feeds from Atheist sources and Civil Rights groups.  I have also never posted a status update on it.  Occasionally when I come across an interesting article or video on the net, I might post it there.  Otherwise, its just a news update site for me.

This is good stuff !

I want to share a love of life, and people, not a love of a big brother in the sky.

I agree. I could not take a theist as my gf or wife ever again. I tried that, it was an epic disaster.

Fed up with Earth? Mars is now an option.

But seriously unless you have the means to do something about it, there is a certain amount of mental tempering necessary to keep sane in this world, overrun with theistic bullies as it is. I have had a few good friends no longer wish to know me as a result of their beliefs and I never felt bad as long as I made sure those people knew that if they wanted to be friends again the ball was in their court.

I know what you mean, sometimes I wish I lived far far away from theists, but its life and you gotta fight the ignorance.

Im sorry but why would it matter if the person is Christian if they are not like oober fundies? There are plenty of Liberal Christians who are very tolerant and open minded. I would much rather date a liberal Christian girl over a Conservative right wing Atheist girl. That's just me

I would assess the problem objectively.

Pinpoint the cause of the trouble.

Then weigh the best option to solve the problem.

Like the guy who goes to the doctor and says "hey doc, it hurts when I do this."

And the doctor says "well then dont do that."

Problem solved.

By the way, these people you are arguing against, are they your friends or acquaintances?

Now I can see what you meant in your other thread about "Losing friends". You seem to be quite hostile towards them.

Comment by Elizabeth Williams on May 6, 2013 at 1:07am

No, I know James; but everyone arguing are just random people that added me because I met them once, or helped them with their cell phone at AT&T...I was unaware anyone was that interested in my relationships, ...why should I have to change the things i post to my facebook to appease them???

Comment by Random Cairene on May 6, 2013 at 4:11am

I noticed that people who tend to argue with me over facebook are usually people i don't know or people i have met only once or twice .. sometimes they are just people who went to the same school or college with me.

my close circle of friends never argue .. they just accept me for what i am and what i think weither they like it or not.

my advice is to write whatever u like and share whatever you want .. it's your own page .. just don't argue with anyone .. don't comment back on your statuses.
