I am getting fed up with the hypocrisy brought forth by believers onto atheists and non-believers. In the same breath we will be called self-righteous AND self-loathing. I literally was engaged in a debate with another one of 'god's children' (the one in the bible) and he told me that I don't believe in (his)god because I hate myself and don't feel worthy of his light. He then went on to tell me, "It's OK though...he loves you. Come back to him before it's too late." as if getting into heaven is a sale or something; "For a limited time only..." I let him finish his sales pitch and then redirected the conversation back to our clashing ideals with society and, in true form, he quickly reverted back to his indoctrinated failed logic. "You know what? You just think you're god don't you?" It was at this point that I could do nothing but concede. Obviously, not due to his infallible logic, but rather due to his complete lack of logic. I would like to make it plain to all theists that a person cannot be both self-righteous and self-loathing simultaneously. This has been another lesson for you on the difference between "fact" and "fits my position so let's just say it now". Ugh...rant over.
