Has Iowa Started A Domino Effect? A 4th State Legalizes Gay Marriage

Figured I'd might as well continue my recent trend of posting articles about the fight for equal rights for gay couples in the United States. Well, it's time to update the tally - 4 down, 46 to go.

Vermont Lawmakers Legalize Gay Marriage

Another first in the Gay Marriage fight as Vermont became the first state to legalize gay marriage via the legislative branch rather than the Judicial branch. The measure to overrule the governor's veto eeked through 100-49 in the house after a landslide 23-5 vote in the State Senate.

I think this is great. It is about time. The bigoted, homophobe, holyer then thou, are starting to have to take a back seat to Ethics, Empathy, and Intelligence.

And right after Vermont's declaration, Washington D.C. stated that they would be respecting all gay marriages performed in the 50 states.
