Talk about firing a shot heard around the world! He woke up the world from sleep. He gave the light of reason to a world sitting in religous darkness. Thank you, Mr. Darwin.

He was responsible for singlehandedly making the greatest leap forward in the history of science . As a biology major in my undergraduate days , my awe and admiration for the elegance , simplicity , and vast explanatory power of evolutionary theory was evidenced on an almost daily basis . Those who deny the beauty and truth of such a feat of human intellectual achievement , disgust me .
