Did you know that an increase of some degrees in global temperature may actually be good to the human race?
I found this out reading one of many Asimov's non-fiction books. In it (written last century, before this AGW craze) he stated that global warming was not all the bad that people thought: actually, some degrees increase would make huge portions of Siberia and Canada livable and food-producing... which meant that it would be a good thing overall to the human population.
What would be fatal, he said, was a global cooling.
So ponder this:
- On the one hand, even the worse global warming apocalyptics say the maximum increase in inches of the sea will be measured with 1 hand in the next 100 years (so not a big deal, except for the 10-20% of people who live on a low coast, from which they'll have 100 years to move).
- On the other hand, big areas of Siberia, Greenland and Canada become livable and food-producing.
Suddenly global warming does not look that bad.
