If you kill him, his followers will turn him into a martyr. He is only a fringe element whose viewers are in that same quadrant. Although, I think he and the tea baggers should commit seppuku in the name of their movement to prove their point.

I thought it was absurd most of the comments were.....They were filled with hate and disgust against something they didn't understand or just hate for Glenn beck himself. Every other comment was filled with curse words and stupid remarks. It makes me wonder if they have an education. The best comment was made by JCJ77: He was arguing that education now doesn't teach the things necessary for a constitutional republic to survive. Essentially he is arguing against educating children to be collectivists and instead wants them to be educated to be individualists.

Beck bases his whole argument off of a picture. I wish I could agree with your analysis, but Beck is not making a simple gesture to teach kids to be "Individualists", he wants to teach kids about god. He is relating secularism to the soviets, and then says "Governments dont make rules, god does" and bases his whole argument against the "Collectivist Education" (whatever the hell that means) with his, as you put it "God Mumbo Jumbo". So I think you are missing the point. But you seem to know more about beck, what makes him so appealing, aside from looking like a gopher with an anal polyp?

Everything that I've seen on Fox News for years has been fear based, it's the commies coming to get ya, or Muslims. These are guys that grew up fighting communism from Korea to Vietnam to The Soviets. The propaganda has been ingrained in them. Worse, they are a puppet of Murdoch.

We are at the beginnings of class warfare if you haven't noticed. The Unions have been broken and wages haven't increased since 1981. Think of it this way... 1967 the lowest median wage class was 14k. Today it's 17k and we have more child labor laws. So what began in 1980? Tax cuts to create jobs. The highest marginal tax rate in 1962 was 92% over $200k. Today it's 36%. The burden has been shifted to the middle class not only in terms of rates, but through fee structures (how many licenses and permits do you buy a year?) that hit the middle class harder as a percentage of income. Homes are less affordable. Education is becoming harder to afford. No longer do we see many stay at home parents. Median wages of $45,000 in my state couldn't make my house payment and food after taxes and I have the smallest house in my neighborhood. All of this while corporate profits in that period have gone from under 100 billion to over 1.2 trillion. And we still have to save them.

We were sold a bill of goods that 30 years later hasn't played out well for the middle class. Maybe you are a lucky one. I feel fortunate. But for those whom are Fox Fans, open your eyes to the realities of what has gone on for your neighbor. Fox News is fighting against a tide of what is coming. A push back to how things really were in O'Reilly or Beck's perceived Great America where the rich pay more and wages and a good education are paramount. This is why they are using old propaganda. It worked before... right?

And what god is he talking about? He's a Mormon. So is it Yaweh, the Christian Jesus or the Mormon Jesus?

@B, The existence of a different being isn't what I'm getting at.

What I find humorous about Beck is he invokes God as if Elohim and Yaweh are the same and or taught the same things. They hold very different positions. Jesus and Satan are brothers? Try getting that through an Evangelical Church. Or how about the establishment of a second human cradle of life here in the US? Or Jesus appears to Mormons. Or that heaven is a world where you are a god over a your planets awarded to you by Elohim according to your faith and works. This is not the same as Christianity. Beck loves to throw out God but he never speaks about what it means. Example. He isn't being honest and the evangelicals would shun him just like they would us if you pointed out what his religion believes.

Beck is completely full of shit. More education means a lower fan base for him.
