Getting a tattoo :)
I personally feel that tattoos represent the person that you are. And beliefs represent who you are as well. I want to get a tattoo that represents my beliefs. And I need help. PLEASE!
Overall I want a tattoo with a nice simple quote, and a picture. I just need help, and this is what I want..............
I am an atheist, and there is so many quotes that I can get, but I want a quote that respects earth and human. I dont want to put others down for their beleifs, because I would be representing religions that judge. And I don't want to juge. I want a quote that is proud of my beliefs, and is very respectful to others as well. Any ideas????

It might be offensive, because the inverse of that would be "You don't think, therefore you are religious".

No but someone who believes in a god will see it as: "I am an intelligent person with a brain and not a mindless idiot, therefore I'm an Atheist." Which is EXACTLY what I would want them to see haha But you are right, being an atheist is offensive to MOST, especially if you live in the south as I do.

You could always hide your beliefs in an ambigram tattoo so as not to offend others. http://www.wowtattoos.com/
Then add a picture you like.

I wanted a tattoo for a long time, but now I'm too terrified of hepatitis to justify the risk..
yah, I know, it's sterile it's clean it's safe -- I'm still scared!
I'm pro quotes though. I look words so much better than pictures. Go with a script for sure!

I support Aric's suggestion of a full-back Sagan. Incorporate a nice quote from Cosmos and you're good to go.

Maybe the Sagan quote, "It's better to light a candle then to curse the darkness.", or "It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion(, however satisfying and reassuring.)"
I got a tattoo that didn't mean anything a while back and I regret it. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Why don't you quote an entire blog piece of mine? You have permission, as long as your tattoo links back to my blog for comments. ;)
Seriously though, I am also thinking of getting a tattoo, but i have made a rule that whatever design i choose I have to like it for a year before I can get it. A lifetime with something can surely wait a year right?
