"A 28-year-old man in Pennsylvania has been charged with murder after telling police he stoned a 70-year-old man to death after the elderly man reportedly hit on the younger man. John Joe Thomas, 28, reportedly spent every day at 70-year-old Murray Seidman’s home for unknown reasons, but when Seidman made romantic advances toward Thomas, Thomas beat the elderly man to death with a sock full of rocks. Thomas reportedly told authorities he read in the Old Testament that homosexuals should be stoned to death. Thomas said he killed Seidman on Jan. 12, and then returned the apartment days later to make it seem like he had just discovered the body. Thomas is being held on first-degree murder charges."
Well, ya know.....
The Bible is pretty clear.

Comment by Daria Black on April 9, 2011 at 1:46am That is so sad. I hope he gets the maximum sentence for this.
My only question is, was the older man a confirmed homosexual? The reason I ask is because the boy is saying that he beat the man because of the sexual advances made towards him. But how do we know that is true? He could be setting himself up for getting a reduced sentence based on some psychological BS.

Comment by Albert Bakker on April 9, 2011 at 2:30am "The relationship between the two is not known, but police said Thomas was the sole beneficiary of Seidman's will."
Thomas left Seidman dead in his Landsdowne apartment but later returned days later, calling police on Jan. 12 to make it appear like he just found the body, authorities said.
You have to be careful with testimonies of murderers, because they might not be the whole truth or contain any truth at all.
I haven't seen any clue as to whether how religious the murderer really is or whether it is true or not that the older man made any advances. The only thing that seems to me a bit odd is a guy of 28 constantly hanging out with a 70 year old. The older man must have been really interesting to him I guess.

Is a little bit more specific as to some of the details.
Comment by Mac B on April 9, 2011 at 2:55am This is very disturbing - Leviticus only states that homosexuals must be put to death, it doesn't mention in what manner.
Tasteless, yeah but my point is that he is a pretty good christian. Other than that I'm left pretty speechless by this.
