Understanding freedom has only come through the sum total of my entire life of learning crossed by meditation in which I can focus on a single idea and explore it from all sides.

I first learned of freedom through patriotic songs, but I didn’t understand it; I had only taken the first step.

I first declared atheism during my twelfth year of life which freed me from the god concept, but I still didn’t know freedom; I had only taken one more step.

I first declared safety during my 22nd year of life which freed me from fear, but I still didn’t know freedom; I had only taken one more step.

I first declared knowledge during my 25th year of life which freed me from my parents’ support, but I still didn’t know freedom; I had only taken one more step.

I first declared the secret of existence during my 32nd year of life which freed me from the bonds of limitation; only after understanding limitations can one understand there are no limitations.

Now, I can declare, “I am Free.”

When you get around to accepting determinism, tell me how that fits in with your freedom.

I do enjoy the ganja, but my ideas come in all states of mind.

What does determinism mean when you say it? Why do you accept determinism?

There are limitations. Understanding what they are might give you a greater sense of freedom.

I have to know my limitations so I can break them then learn the real truth; there are no limitations.

Can you catch a fly mid-flight with chopsticks?
Comment by Andrew Brown on April 17, 2017 at 7:54pm

My friend taught me how to catch flies while landed using chopsticks, but I was never any good.

Why?

If I asked you to learn how to do that by tomorrow, would you say that's probably not enough time? (Isn't time a limitation?)
