I subscribe to PCWorld Magazine and frequently check the website, because I find their tips on internet security, and consumer reviews of tech devices quite useful. And... also... I like to drool over the glossy magazine photos of amazing new technologies I can never afford...
A PCWorld writer called it "TechnoPorn" [lmao... I totally understand why]
The article I am featuring in this blog post is TOTALLY out of character for PCWorld... you can say it DEFINITELY blew me for a loop! For Comparison... so that you all don't think that the "end of the world" article is typical of PCWorld [it's not] this is an example of a NORMAL article:
NORMAL PCWorld Article - Android Phones
Now... for the moment you've all been waiting for... the wierdo article.
I'm SERIOUSLY hoping that this article is a joke. O_O
Social Networking: Blessing or Curse?
Comment by Matt on January 20, 2011 at 3:08am Wow, what a sad article to have on a tech website. At least he admits to doing no research and only cites wikipedia.

Comment by Skycomet the Fallen Angel on January 20, 2011 at 7:38pm Mallory... what I first looked at this article, expecting it to predict a complete loss of privacy and societal melt-down or something like that. -Something more plausible-
However... instead what I got [if you read the article... you will see this about half-way down] was a statement that the Queen of England's decision to set up a facebook page was a fulfillment of prophesy as outlined in the book of Revelations.
Privacy crisis I can understand... but Revelations and the Queen of England... What? O_O
