I was bored and so I had a little fun. Maybe someone else will find this amusing too. I was rubbed the wrong way today and this was therapeutic for me. I am in no way making fun of people with actual mental illnesses or children with imaginary friends.
Psychotic disorders are a group of serious illnesses that affect the mind. These illnesses alter a person's ability to think clearly, make good judgments, respond emotionally, communicate effectively, understand reality, and behave appropriately. When symptoms are severe, people with psychotic disorders have difficulty staying in touch with reality (Medicine Net Inc., 2011).
Religious disorders are a group of serious illnesses that affect the mind. Religion can alter a person's ability to think clearly, make good judgments, respond emotionally, communicate effectively, understand reality, and behave appropriately. When symptoms are severe, people with religious disorders have difficulty staying in touch with reality.
An imaginary friend is a fictional friend often created by a child. The child may treat the imaginary friend in quite a real way. He or she may play with an imaginary friend or talk to it, he might try to feed it, or blame the friend if a misdeed is committed (Conjecture Corp, 2011).
A God is a fictional friend often created by an adult. The adult may treat the God in quite a real way. He or she may prey to a God or talk to it, he might try to worship it, or blame the God if a misdeed is committed.
