Commandment X
*“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’ s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”
while there have been numerous ways to maim
and not really
kill
but instead to extract what you wanted from an individual
to punish
& then possibly destroy them---
the most popular of all ways
which the good believers used to kill those that they thought had
violated their system of beliefs
through
“witchery”
&
thieving,
was most definitely
burning them at the stake
used primarily in the middle ages but still
practiced through further history,
the accused was bound to a stake---a tall
wooden pole, or often tied from an overhanging board with their arms spread upward
sometimes they were kneeling close to the ground---
regardless,
the more famous & detested the individual was,
the more good believers that would
encircle the accused
and watch with wide open eyes
as they burnt to death
some would scream their way into asphyxiation
while inhaling the large clouds of smoke
billowing from the fire built beneath them---
some would bleed from the burning flesh & die of
shock
from the large amount of blood spilling out
either way, if they kept their eyes open
for as long as they could
they would drown in a myriad of smiles
surrounding them.
