The God of the Bible is cruel and ill-tempered. Proof: According to many passages in the Bible, and accounts from many Christians, if a person does only good deeds but does not believe in Christ, he or she will be damned to an eternity of torment in Hell. See:

God, being omnipotent, could conceivably cause a non-believing soul to simply cease to exist. Instead, he chooses to sentence to Hell, or allow be sent to Hell (depending on interpretation), otherwise good people whose only sin was skepticism. Imposing, or allowing, a being to suffer an eternity of torment for the sin of mere skepticism is cruel and ill-tempered.

From, a devil refers to an "atrociously wicked, cruel or ill-tempered person." The God of the Bible is a devil. Those who worship the God of the Bible are devil worshipers. I would rather suffer an eternity in Hell than worship a devil.

I always find it funny how christians always think atheists are devil worshipers. It's so funny to see the look on there face when we say we don't believe in the devil either lol I love it!

I've been confronted with that one a few times, "if you don't believe in god then you must believe in the devil", as if it's an either/or proposition with no other alternatives. When I tell them I don't believe in the devil either most often I'm met with confusion, with the usual reply being "well, you have to believe in something". I think it hurts their tiny minds having to process this information.

hehe, thankfully my beliefs aren't questioned very often. I always find it hilarious that people even believe what religion tells them :D talk about lemmings.

Has anyone been scared by the phase "you're going to hell"? I've had people tell me, seriously, I was going to hell. And, I should be scared. Those of you that were religious, how did hell scare you? What could someone possibly say? I don't have a point of reference on this question. Maybe it wasn't hell that scared you, but the fear of displeasing god. Maybe there is an answer out there that I'm not familiar with.
