I came across a short (under 2 minutes) video on YouTube the other day. Dan Barker parody's of the god-heaven-hell myth. It really gets across how ridiculous those beliefs are in the 21st century.

...invented stories that happen to fit a particular period in history and the culture at that time. I think this applies to all religions, old and new. Religions attempt to provide answers to existence: where did we come from? why are we here? why do bad things happen? The answers from religion are clearly anthropomorphised, human-centric inventions of human minds, unwilling to say "I do not know".
