Christian Terrorism in Ohio
The downtown Cincinnati billboard reading "Don’t Believe In God? You are not alone" is moving locations. The billboard is run by Lamar Advertising, but this particular billboard is on private property leased by Lamar. Apparently the landowner has "received multiple, significant threats" either to property, person, or both.In my opinion, even with the vagueness of the statement, these are clearly threats of terrorism. Who else in an area like that, would threaten a message like that, besides Christians?
If I was that landowner, I'd be calling the police, FBI, and or Homeland Security. But then again, maybe the landowner didn't like the billboard, so made up the threats. Any-which-way, this is a form of terrorism aimed at non-believers, most likely originating from Christians.
Shawn Jeffers, co-coordinator for Cin CoR (Cincinnati Coalition of Reason) said "Everything that has happened shows just how vital our message is. It proves our point, that bigotry against people who don’t believe in a god is still very real in America. Only when we atheists, agnostics and humanists come together and go public about our views will people have a chance to learn that we too are part of the community and deserve respect."
The United Coalition of Reason has now funded fourteen campaigns this year.

You really can't assume all the threats are from Christians. Muslim and Judaism share the belief in the same god, even though there are many names

It's such a non-threatening statement. It doesn't even express an opinion. I don't see how people can get so worked up over these things.

OMG!!! I live in Cincinnati, why didn't I hear about this?!!! [Then again, I don't really follow the news during the holiday season. - I get tired of listening to the anchors - and everyone else - whine about the "secularizing of Xmas" and "why can't we just call it a Xmas Tree?!" - Dumba$$s!!!] Anyhow... this makes me angry... but then again... I'm NOT particularly surprised!! Cinci is one of the most conservative cities in Ohio. Atheists are basically invisible hear. And, as far as I know, the Xtian majority here has imposed silence upon us under threat of harrassment and/ or violence. I pass all kinds of silly and harrassing Xtian billboards on the highway, but as soon as one of us puts up a benign one, we have to take it down or face "riots."

Here in the buckle of the belt.. I pass a beautiful, expensive electronic billboard that reads christian slogans all day.. I wish I had the cash to rent time for a quote. I wonder if an Atheist bummer sticker would cause my car to be vandalized. ( its brand new and paid for... I love my lil' Honda) But.. I think I'm willing to risk it. I'll let y'all know how it goes.. um.. anyone suggest where I can a fun bumper sticker ? ? I'm sure they dont sell them here. ( would car insurance cover.. um..ok.. suggest me a good slogan!!. I'll have it printed.)

@Morgan Seriously. It was part of her rant at Rob Sherman when he wanted to state his opinion on the government giving a few million tax dollars to local churches. She basically told him that atheists should not be allowed to speak and people knowing that we exist was dangerous and evil.
Naturally, she got very little backlash for this, although if she'd tried it with any other minority, they'd have crucified her.
