Went back home (to the Bible Belt) with my wife and new-born for Christmas to visit my parents and my in-laws. They live 52 miles apart from each other. Today while traveling between the two, I decided to count all the churches that I saw while driving the 52 miles. I counted 48 churches. Basically a church a mile. The radio stations were filled with old men preaching about judgment day and the wrath of god. They spewed nonsense how this country (USA) is destined for failure and doomed unless men who have been born again, who have been “saved” fight to united Christianity and government together. Keep in mind, the economy in this area is not so great. Unemployment is over 16%. Crime is on a steady rise. The South – Got to love it.

What else would we do with all of the old empty buildings but to fill them with emotional, guilt-ridden, poor people who will give you their last dollar, eh?
