Your child doesn't care that I'm a different color
But why do you
Babies love who loves them plainly
Adults like to love based on who they see
Yet they can love an imaginary god who they can't see but can't love me
Oh I'm not scared of your Hell believe me
If it did exist you would be right there with me
I would be smiling as the horror gripped your face
Color doesn't matter but you made it take first place
And your baby doesn't care what I look like
Your baby just wants to sleep on my chest and hear my heartbeat
I laugh when they say I should be ashamed of being an atheist
Because they should be ashamed of hating me and praying to a god of nonsense
Oh do you really think that hating me is okay
With the same god you claims loves you everyday
I can't walk inside of your house but you think that one day
This place called Heaven is going to let you in
Oh if there is Satan I'm sure that it would be laughing...
Your baby just wants to be held
My dark skin doesn't matter your baby doesn't care
All your child wants is love and it's a shame
That these grown ass folks can't be the same
Oh but I should believe
In the god of racist beliefs
Ignorant like some saying my color is a curse
Even in your make believe bible that isn't in a verse
So I smile
Knowing that your hate will be exposed to you somehow
Your baby doesn't care because your baby is not proud
Perfect and innocent they don't waste the time
Making fake lines
To pick who they love
They don't act like us and keep their loved covered up
To who we think deserves it
Why can't grown folks do the same
You and your god should be ashamed
