Atheists Break Out New Ritual Tool: The Blow Dryer to de-baptize

Atheists Break Out New Ritual Tool: The Blow-Dryer Nonbelievers Adopt Provocative Ceremony to Make a Point About Baptism

This is Good!!!! seriously this "drying of the lies" has as much "magic" power over people as being baptized- this actually made me take a look into my brain and ask, why is it that i was taught as a christian child that baptism was such a holy / magical thing???

I looked even deeper into my mind and pictured holy water vs hair dryer.. which do i hold having more value? which should i place more value in? neither. they are both just objects, tools of man.

I don't like it. I wouldn't do it.
I think they are taking it too far (the mocking) of it to that extreme - they are acting like other religious nut jobs. I mean, some of the things seem reasonable and yes he and everyone has the right to their own opinion. Yet, I feel that if a religious person that is doubting his/her beliefs sees this they might be confused about what Atheism is about, specially if his/her friends use videos like this to "prove" the "sinful ways" of Atheism.

I'm not a fan either. Sure, it's done in jest. But the theist's will just point and claim that we have 'magic' ceremony's of our very own. Plus, if we are saying that baptism is pointless and does nothing; the very existence of an act to un-do it will just make them think that we're lying to ourselves and actually do think baptism is for real. Not to mention, some of the mocking tactics go too far in my opinion (and this one just looks silly).

However, I am in favor of officially defecting from your church. I'm officially defected from the Catholic church, however it's now questionable if one can still do so...

I think that's effin hysterical. Wish I'd thought of that the last time my friends and I threw an inquisition party!

love it.....but don't understand why people shy away from answering the stalin and hitler question.....explain it in detail that it has nothing to do with atheism....hitchens deals with it in detail in god is not great and also sam harris has addressed this question at length......if ur beliefs make u look stupid, so be it......
