Does anyone else find this slogan for christianmingle.com unbelievably hypocritical. When speaking to most fundamentalist Christians I have found that they will generally say that God will basically make everything happen. God will provide everything for them no matter how great or small. This dating site slogan is so repulsive to me that I felt I had to ignite a discussion about it. It's just more of the same, say one thing and mean another all the time with some Christians. Sometimes God is waiting for you to act...if God supposedly does everything for us and has this big ol' plan for all of us, then how can we have the right to choose a mate.
Also, there is nothing like discrimination against others to really piss me off. having a dating site where one is required to be a Christian to join is really really lame!
Please post feedback on this I can't wait to hear what you guys think!
Comment by SteveInCO on January 29, 2013 at 12:54am I still have yet to hear whether Mary is alleged to have at least gotten a good orgasm out of the deal. Did she get the best one in history, because it was doG doing the knock up? Or was he too misogynistic to care, and fucked her dry?
Comment by Gregg R Thomas on January 29, 2013 at 1:10am Ouch. :)

Comment by Sagacious Hawk on January 29, 2013 at 11:15am Strega, I think you gave me my new favorite this-is-why-religion-is-absurd quote:
"He never gives you more than you can handle, and if in his infinite wisdom, he gives you a rapist, well rapists have needs too."

It gives a whole new meaning to "turn the other cheek" Grins
