Are you kidding me with this...."Find God's match for you"

Does anyone else find this slogan for unbelievably hypocritical.  When speaking to most fundamentalist Christians I have found that they will generally say that God will basically make everything happen.  God will provide everything for them no matter how great or small.  This dating site slogan is so repulsive to me that I felt I had to ignite a discussion about it.  It's just more of the same, say one thing and mean another all the time with some Christians.  Sometimes God is waiting for you to act...if God supposedly does everything for us and has this big ol' plan for all of us, then how can we have the right to choose a mate.

Also, there is nothing like discrimination against others to really piss me off.  having a dating site where one is required to be a Christian to join is really really lame!

Please post feedback on this I can't wait to hear what you guys think!

Eww, Yahweh, you're right. I bet all the creepers see that site as a great opportunity to take advantage of gullible religious types.

I expect that these Christian Co-Mingle folks might have better success than the rest of us. If you are a Christian, with god in your heart, and within all true believers, you wear the 'right' cloths, think the 'right' thoughts, and maybe buy only 'God OK'ed' foot wear, you have all your ducks in a row, and just need to find that your 'God OK'ed' partner with all the proper dip-switches up. For the rest of us, who knows what needs to be right before we get over our approach/avoidance conflicts.

During my dating days, I meet a few gals at their churches! For some of these first visits, we near got to the second visit, because the giggle factor dip-switch was set to off. If I had debased myself to giving witness to 'god in my life', and made the case that I was saved from some horrible addictions, or leaving my atheist/humanist life style, I might have sealed the deal a few years latter. But no, I am a principled sort.

I meet my present wife at her local newage church. She was a singer there and well respected. The 'giggle facter' dip-switch seemed to pegged at the middle or was burned out. She was very charming, well educated, funny, and in a good nerdy way 'hot'. We spent the rest of the day at a local art fair, and were mostly thick as theives for about a week, did I say that?

We married about 4 years latter, and have been good mostly since. Not perfect, I might add, but it is hard to stay mad at someone, that keeps trying....;p)
