Comment by Heather Spoonheim on May 25, 2011 at 7:27pm Ask him if he accounted for the conversion from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar when he figured out the date of the Crucifixion - the day of the week actually changed across Europe, which is why we now have the Sabbath on Sunday. Considering this, if he didn't factor in the calendrical shift, by factoring in that adjustment his Rapture date would have been this coming Friday.
This is all bullshit, of course - but it should fuck with his mind a little bit.

Comment by Akshay Bist on May 25, 2011 at 11:05pm Your predictions have come out wrong before & I have no doubt that the world will not end on October 21, 2011. So what excuse will you hide behind this time? In 1994 you claimed there were some calculation errors. After 21st May you claimed some other BS. So what excuse will it be after October 21? Math errors, random BS or will you act like the Seekers did after the world didn't end on December 21, 1954 & claim that god spared you because of your devotion? Before you launch into a regurgitation of the *facts* in the Bible, please note that I don't believe in that 2000 year old rag & any quote from it won't move me. Instead how about you, for a moment accept, for the sake of argument, that its October 22nd & the world is still here. How will you react? Try & reason like a sane person please.
This would be my question.
Comment by Albert Bakker on May 26, 2011 at 1:19am Great show by the way. (I started only recently and have only just witnessed an atheist prayer for a sprain ankle.) It lives somewhere in a space between Mark Maron's What The Fuck, smodcast and Reasonable Doubts. (I especially liked the show with Moon Zappa, but man there really should be a volume knob on that Pepitone guy.)
I'd like to know if behind all the bluster he does experiences doubts, you know like on a human level. Because even if his faith in his particular brand of one of the planet's many diverse religions might be unshakable it is his own numerology that forms the basis of this meanwhile proven to be counterfactual end time prophecy. Plus what he thinks of his brethren in Christ who call him a false prophet, a heretic and much worse.

Comment by Albert Bakker on May 27, 2011 at 4:42am Alright, cool, nice stunt. It was Pepitone nonetheless, rupturing my eardrums once again.
I don't know if this proves anything however. I don't think it is "unrealistic" to try to get Camping on the phone live when other comedians and some much more famous are actually present in the studio.
How shielded off from society are these folks anyway? If it worked he might not have answered anything, but I don't think you'd have to be especially gullible believe that it is possible.
