An E-Mail to me...that I had to fix.

PRESIDENT KENNEDY ONCE SAID THAT A DINNER FOR NOBEL LAUREATES WAS THE GREATEST CONCENTRATION OF BRAIN POWER EVER GATHERED AT THE WHITE
HOUSE, EXCEPT WHEN THOMAS JEFFERSON DINED ALONE
.

Obviously, he was a man ahead of his
time.

HOW DID JEFFERSON MAKE WHAT WOULD ULTIMATELY BECOME SUCH A PERFECT PREDICTION?

Especially: Read the last quote from 1802.

When we get piled upon one another in large
cities,
as in Europe,
we shall become as corrupt as Europe ..

Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you
take
away from those
who are willing to work
and give to those who would
not.

Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its

own debts as it goes.
A principle which
if acted on would save one-half the wars
of
the world.

Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for
Americans

if they can prevent the government
from

wasting the labors of the people under
the
pretense of taking care of them.

Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that
most
bad
government results from too much government.

Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use
of
arms.

Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the
people to retain the right to keep and bear
arms
is, as a last resort, to protect
themselves
against tyranny in government.

Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time
to time with the blood of patriots
and tyrants.

Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his
taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful
and tyrannical.

Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson said in
1802:

'I believe that banking institutions
are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.

If the American people ever allow private

banks to control the issue of their currency, first by
inflation,
then by
deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up
around
the banks will deprive the people of
all property -
until
their children wake-up homeless on
the continent their
fathers conquered.'

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT QUOTE THAT SUMS IT ALL UP!!!!

From Thomas Jefferson:

The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the Supreme Being as his father, in the
womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of
Minerva in the brain of Jupiter.

This quotes value:
Thomas Jefferson was among the most influential of the U.S.’ founders.
Moreover, he
continues to be among the most revered of them today. Additionally,
Jefferson makes the salient point that each and
every supernatural mythology is equally ludicrous and irrational. No
religious mythology is more reasonable than any other.
Taken from the pages of The Jolly Nihilist's "My Case Against God".

Which strikes the overwhelming need for the question...how can a nation (U.S.A) full of
seemingly rational minds, in regard to all things substantiated by
Thomas Jefferson and other
contributors

of mankind's
greatest
developments of equal intelligence, so blatantly disregard his outright
unbiased verbal decimation of religion?

The same way they do it to their own deistic inspired books. CHERRY PICKING!!! That's how. Quote
mining is a horribly sad example of flat out bias and ignorance. Read,
quote and teach all the good parts. Then disregard the bad parts or
completely twist them to be somehow "a good thing".

It is the intelligent mind that makes life worth living...not the fairy tales it
can devise.

Before you stand up or speak up...make sure the words that you "preach" are not what have been indoctrinated into your
life and mind but what you've truly discovered. Because you can lie to
me...but not to yourself.

Now a question...
When believers tell me that I haven't found god/jesus...I always ask them...if he's
everywhere...why would I have to search...and if he wants me...shouldn't
he already know where I am? Wouldn't that make them both arrogant and
lazy? Hardly "God" material.

An Atheist/Scientist quote...
Extraordinary
claims require extraordinary evidence.

Which means...
The burden of proof for the substantiation of a claim lies not on the
shoulders of those who receive the claim, to disprove it.
But on those who choose to deliver the claim to provide sufficient evidence to
render disproof impossible.

I WISH WE COULD GET THIS OUT TO EVERYONE!!!

Im cool with most things... except the gun part.

the founding fathers were all slave owners who believed all men (of European descent) were equal... spot the oddity?

Many of the founding fathers were trying to find a practical timeframe in which to abolish slavery.

I LOVE those quotes!

Some of those are out of the context in which they were written. They have a serious anti-socialism agenda in the framework they are provided here. Thomas Jefferson did not want people to lose their homes, go hungry, remain uneducated, or die due to classism.
