Getting Excummunicated with the help of She-ra

Did you know it is ridiculously hard to get excommunicated from the Catholic church?

Well I'm sure you did, you're all pretty smart here so I won't insult your intelligence, you get it, and I'm sure that the general lot of you don't wonder why I want my name out of their books.

So I will leap into my attempts.

-Anti-god jokes and skits. (Not good enough, I could always repent!)

-Telling a priest I reject the holy-spirit. (Mentioned in the Bible but they assume I don't know what I am saying.)

-Writing a letter. (If only it were that simple)

-Donating to Planned Parenthood. (Would probably work if there were a "USE THIS MONEY FOR ABORTIONS" box on the donation form.)

- Handing out FFRF pamphlets. (WHY WON'T THEY LET ME OUT?!?)

So I looked into excommunication, there are a few fast tracks but they are either shit or awful:

-Attack the Pope. (Not that I wouldn't love to trip the guy but I'm not evil.)

-Desecrate the Eucharist. ( I want out of the church, not to offend everyone I have known in my life)

-Join another religion. (Wow, this defeats the purpose now doesn't it?)

Then I stumbled upon "Cause a schism."

I can start a religion, aim it at converting other Catholics and BAM! I'm out!

So I'm thinking of starting a spin-off religion in which the messiah is She-ra.

- Magical powers

- Is simultaneously of two natures, god (She-ra) and mortal (Adora)

- Adheres to moral teachings (Remember the lessons at the end of each episode?)

- Surrounded by the opposite sex yet never involves herself romantically because of her mission.

-Trying to save the world from evil

-Raised by adoptive parent.

What do you guys think?

In Phoenix, a nun was excommunicated for advising a pregnant woman who probably would have died if she tried to carry her pregnancy to term to have an abortion.  Her reasoning, I guess was that it was better for the mother to survive, than for the mother and her fetus to die.  Bishop Thomas Olmstead disagreed.  He excommunicated the nun for her advice to the patient.

My point, I guess, is that if you are trying to get excommunicated, you could do it in glorious fashion -- by trying to do the right thing in a difficult situation.

Personally, I would also see it as a badge of honor to be excommunicated.  But, it would be a doubly-great badge of honor if they would excommunicate me for doing the right thing.

Have you considered the process described in ?

I also remember another webpage somewhere that described an alternative to excommunication that was easier to achieve.  Can't find the link now, but if I do, I'll post it.
