So there I was driving along on the highway in my blue liberal progress state of Maryland and ahead of me was an suv driving very slowly with its hazards flashing. As I drove close the bile in my stomach pushed its way to the back of my throat. With six "jesus saves" flags sticking out of the windows and the most disgusting sign on the back window, I had to take a picture. In case you cant read it, it says "I used to be gay, but jesus saved me, meet my wife".  I just don't know what to say. I'm sick of this. Sick of the homophopia bigotry bullshit that the christian right is pushing. I'm angry, I'm fed up. From here on out I'll focus less on the atheism and more on the anti-theism. There's a war a brewin, pick a side.

I'm going to side with you on this one. The religious bullshit has got to stop. Its legal bigotry, and it has to end.

haha , it took you this long to focus more on the anti theism?  Atheism is just a joke , anti theism is where the real fun is at :)

I've always thought of myself as both, but yeah this threw me over the edge.

Anti- theistic bad/stupid/anti-humanistic values is something I can sink my shark's teeth into.  Anti-theism connotes intolerance of people who need to believe in some deity.  We have to live with people like that, as neighbors, friends, acquaintances, politicians.  The emphasis has to be on values that are harmful to living creatures.

It's the lesser of two evils? In this case their intolerance of LGBTs  versus my intolerance of them. I choose my intolerance with pride.

And they demand that we respect their delusions. What makes it more annoying is that no other christians speak out against them. When Atheists do they scream foul as if we have done something wrong or are trampling on their rights. They are not good at doing christianity.

Luckily we don't see too much of this kind of shit in Maryland. But when you do, it's typically full on making an announcement to all as loudly as possible...

I wouldn't want to be him when he realizes he's still gay.

Lol Kairan. You make a subtle point there too about a side tragedy of gay conversion therapy is the pretty much guaranteed divorce it leads too.

This is a more relative issue that I dislike about religion.
It must really suck to be his wife
