Protecting Muslim Girls From Rape is Now a Crime in Europe

read article here

this article should scare everyone around the world who believes that all human life is valuable and equal and should not be bound by the beliefs of any particular religious bent.

here is the beginning..

Freedom of speech and women’s rights just took a major hit in Denmark earlier today when the public prosecutor found Lars Hedegaard, the President of the Danish (and International) Free Press Society, guilty of “hate speech” under section 266b of the Danish penal code.

Hedegaard’s crime was to note “the great number of family rapes in areas dominated by Muslim culture in Denmark.”

The prosecutor’s crime is far greater. Now, courtesy of this prosecution, it is officially “racist” to tell the truth about sexual violence against women in Denmark, at least when that violence is perpetrated by Muslim fathers, uncles, or cousins.

James, your comments are full of insight and deep thought. I value your comments. I will respond further to all the comments and commentary later on tonight (I am studying right now). Thanks again for the great topic and insight!

I'm speculating a lot of Americans have the fear that non-whites will come into power more and more and they feel, generally speaking, these non-whites have it in for the them (I realize that's a rather simple and sweeping way to say something but I'm just trying to make a point and be real).

i think this is a much more real thing than we want to think about. the american public has been founded on white rule and even though slavery is now illegal, segregation is still an issue down there in many parts of the US. so, when you talk about immigration, you are basically talking about non-whites and that is perhaps perceived by many as an invasion of "my country". i think the politicians are afraid to open up true dialogue as it will reveal a white bias in much of the ruling class and the religious right that is not discussed but i think is real.

Power is what this is all about, ultimately. The christian right will not give up easily as we see by how few politicians that aren't "christian" are elected at all levels of government. until that changes, bigotry will not disappear. America sees the invasion as a direct threat to their white way of life as well as an issue of "my law is the only one that is right". we are facing that in canada, but not to the same extent as our constitution is different than yours. the push to christianize the government in the USA is in direct opposition to immigration. in the 50's, "In God we Trust" seemed like the perfect answer to the "godless" communist threat from asia, the public accepted that, then the pledge was changed as well to say "one nation under god". those seemingly small surrenders have given the precedent to the lawmakers to make even more little changes which have brought the church and state closer together.

culture is only an issue when one is selected over another and imposes inequality upon the other. that is happening here and all around the world. Most of this is driven by the many religious affiliations that are brought to bear when immigrants transition to new lands.

IF the American public begins to call for the separation of church and state as the answer, persecution, which is why they left the old world in the first place, for opposing their religious systems will dissipate as they will be free to conduct their practice free of state interference, which is the principles of freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness it was founded on.

I suggest y'all read Samuel Huntington's book "Clash of Civilizations"; the illegal immigration hispanic population will not only destroy our culture of western liberalization, education, and advancement; but is bound to make us into a 3rd world country with the population demographics. We must change our asinine laws that only we have in the U.S. in which children of illegal immigrations (anchor babies) automatically become U.S. citizens.

thanks for the additional information Jared.

the issue of culture being identified as race is the next path that will be followed by those seeking to impose their religious fundamentality on those of us who don't identify with any. i think that we shall start to see cultural clashes in areas that we have never seen them before and they will be fueled by  a belief that their religion is their culture and that culture trumps freedom when disagreements happen. we see it slowly starting in laws like this one and in countries around the globe, including my own!

The race card is played around the world when needed, here we have indiginous groups fighting for equality yet, when something they don't like happens, the race issue is brought forth immediately and the media begins to play only that angle though the issue is a clear cut case of wrong doing on the part of the people involved! sympathy is given and the issue is lost under a cloud of not offending... our future is upon us.

Rape in western culture means forced marriages, having sex under-age, with family members etc etc etc.....therefore, it is still rape and should not be justified so under religion or culture. In particular, in Islam your wife has no right to say no to her husband's sexual advances. We civilized people can not rape our spouse when she doesn't want to have sex. Hence it = rape.

rape is ugly in every culture, language or country. there is NO justification for forced sex, forced marriage or incest. the religious justification is perhaps the worst of all justifications as it reflects poorly on the god being used to justify it.

the bible justifies it, the koran does and by default, the torah does as well. i am not sure after that as i am not that familiar with the many different religious beliefs out there.

it is tough to believe in any of these holy, loving god's as we see what they truly believe about the role and position of women in their day to day life. christianity has all but abandoned the bad parts of the bible, but it is still there and they must answer these questions as well.

"...just keep the hate down and the personal attacks out"

Funny that is being said to me by someone who writes: "Protecting Muslim Girls From Rape is Now a Crime in Europe" as a blog title citing some Horowitz hate-rag glorifying the Pamela Geller of Denmark, without the slightest inkling of what really happened or happens in Denmark.

And it works as someone reading this reports finding himself with his corporeal fluids at dangerous temperatures. If only it were true. Jared Czechen at least looked up what he actually said.

He has been acquitted before and with this he's going to appeal the decision, so even the judicial story isn't over.

You just look up Hedegaard and translate a few Danish sites. He's part of the European extreme right movement. The are nationalists and against Europe but are the only political power that actually are organized on a European level and financed by Horowitz movement. They are Israel-Firsters and for the most part ex-Marxists: still going wrong. In the Netherlands at least you'll find an Israeli flag in their offices next to the respective national flags and that's probably the main political reason why to keep the hatred alive: to form a political block against the expected increase of influence of Muslims voters on European politics vis a vis Israel. Whether it be through anti-immigration rhetoric, blowing up existing problems beyond all proportions until everybody loses perspective. In Hungary you can witness the natural outflow of this extreme rightist movement that can apparently garner much sympathy on this forum marching through the streets in black uniforms: it's against Roma and not against Muslims so it's safe to condemn.

But when talking about rape in general Denmark is 29th on the UN list, about 91 per million. The US on this list ranks 9th, with 301 per million. I suspect the reporting rates are about the same or a little better in Denmark. So to go from 91 per million to 301 per million on 5 million Danes are an extra 1050 rape victims to be committed by the 185.000 or so Muslims in Denmark, if we cut them roughly in half to make an estimate of the number of men then 11% of them must rape girls to get Denmark as a whole to the same rape figure of the US.

Or in other words a Muslim man in Denmark should be about 200 times more likely to be a rapist than your average American man. What a giant conspiracy between Muslims and liberal judges it must be there in Denmark.

More facts needed here to get at the truth.

But it seems to be business as usual: more hyper respect for the "religion of peace".

One needs to see the whole court record to contextualise to ultimate finding of the court. In my country (South Africa) you are allowed to make that statement if you are able to prove it's validity (stats etc). We're arguably the rape capital of the world and racism and 'corrective' rape of lesbians as well as rape of young especially white virgins to 'cure' HIV/AIDS is common. These issues have been researched and tagged without becoming 'hate speech'
