I went to the Kalamazoo Kings baseball game tonight with the lady I have been seeing for sometime now and witnessed a player crank 3 home runs this evening which included the bottom of the ninth, two out, home run to win the game. The date went well, and I can't wait to see more of each other this Memorial Day Weekend. I have enjoyed our dates together and found that we have alot in common and I am happy! But now you probably do not care too much and I don't like to talk too much about my personal life, so I went to the latest Mid-Michigan Atheist and Humanist meetup group last weekend, and for the most part, it was bland. I was the youngest member there, a christian preacher attended the meeting and thought it would be wise to say something about having jesus live in your heart. SOOOOOO yeah that was awesome. At the one place where I can vent my frustrations about religion in society and religion in general, I get a christian who wants to "Learn about other people" and preach to us, and apparently does not realize why we are atheists and claiming to "want to understand" is a cop-out answer...on top of that it was at a crappy chinese buffet in lansing. and the person running the org. is a climate change denier and a truther...So driving an hour or so to get there, eat crappy food, encounter christian trolls, and hang out with old people, just is not my cup of tea. Perhaps I shall find more atheists some where, but then again we are organized like a heard of cats and quite frankly for good reasons.
I started taking a C++ programming class for the summer semester, and so far it is fun. We are just playing with the cout, and cin statements at the moment, as well as the printf() and scanf() commands and hopefully things wont pick up too fast, I am working full time and starting to date, so that leaves me with little time to study and write code. IF ANYONE KNOWS C++ PLEASE COMMENT SO THAT I CAN GET SOME FUTURE HELP FROM YOU.
I have noticed that my last posts are about me attempting, and succeeding most times, to get featured by the ThinkAtheist community at large by drumming up an already known collective distaste for religion to get what I am saying out there. I don't find myself using my blog as a way to be more self reflective, so I think I may actually post about personal boring stuff about my life more often, and maybe some funny/interesting stuff along the way.
