For downloading Youtube vids, I've always used PWNyoutube. There may be a better way as it's starting to get enough options that it's not as straight forward as it used to be, but I still use it.
The basic gist is you open the vid in youtube. Once you have the page, you go up into the address bar like this , you add "pwn" between the www. (add "pwn" here) youtube;.com so it looks like this
I hope that I explained that well enough. I may have muddied the waters too much. You can always just copy and paste the last link into the address bar and get to where you can download it. I have used it for flights for stuff like TED Talks. Uses less battery than DVD and then I'm not wasting the flight time.

I have a plugin that adds a simple download link right there on the page. You can get such a plugin if you have either Stylish or Greasemonkey for Firefox.

I'll e-mail you with the vid :)

Gaytor, if she just downloads it, it'll be in FLV format and that's a whole other discussion, lol.

Great help guys...thanks. Now, can you tell me how to load it into Facebook as a video?

If you have it downloaded to your computer you can upload it Facebook in the videos section. Generally, what I do is just copy the address bar, got to my profile page, then on the "what's on your mind section it will give you and option to link to something. If you click on the link option it will produce another line. Selecte the http with your cursor and right click in the address filed and you can paste the link. click attache and then if you want to post a comment you can do that in the "what on your mind" field.

@Galen, I'll look into the other browsers. I have been using Chrome mainly. Firefox crashed on me too often and when Chrome came out I was happy enough to not look any further. I'm that guy who figures out how to make it work, then I stop learning new tricks. Shame on me!

Janelle, I sent you an e-mail offering to convert the video to any format you'd like. However, if you're just wanting to share it on Facebook, I feel I must ask, why not just share the link on Facebook?

People respond to videos more than they do to links. But Yes, thats what I finally did.
