Pro-gay: There is nothing wrong with homosexuality.

Anti-gay: AIDS!

Pro-gay: AIDS is also caused by dirty needles and heterosexual sex.

Anti-gay: Gay people are more promiscuous, so they make AIDS a bigger problem.

Pro-gay: AIDS is spread mostly by straight people.

Anti-gay: Gay sex is inherently more risky than heterosexual sex.

Pro-gay: You're a bigot.

Anti-gay: You're immoral/damned.

I'm tired of seeing the same debate a thousand times. What can be done to change the dialogue?

And while this is just anecdotal, he did make clear that there is a very active underbelly of promiscuity in the gay community

I had a female friend in college and she was very pro gay and active in the community and she told me the same thing. I believe that is because since men are more geared towards engaging in sexual relationships in the teen years and 20s because of hormones than women, it is easier to find another man who is genetically wired the same than a woman. Like the saying goes "its easier for a woman to get laid than a guy". Why? Because men naturally want more sex and are willing to sleep with just about any girl.. In the gay community I guess it just becomes easier.

If you truly want to argue from a Pro Gay point of you then you have to argue it the correctly which would be Civil Rights. You have to come from an angle which shows that being is gay is perfectly normal as it is another expression of human evolution and way of life. And limiting freedom of self expression is against one's rights as it limits one right to be themselves.

You look young. Are you sure you've spent much time around teen girls? I think some of the females here may be rolling their eyes. Teen girls are just as horny as guys, maybe hornier. By contrast, guys have that performance anxiety to overcome. They talk a good game, but frequently are more afraid of sex than their female counterparts.

Actually most lesbian girls look for relationships rather than one-night-stands.  I think he has a point, there.

Yes there are but teen girls don't just always jump into random one nighters. I'm 24, so its been about 8 years since I was 16. If things are still relatively how it was 8 years ago, then I believe most teen girls usually engage in sex because of peer pressure surrounding them. Barring the few who were just a sleeping mattress for just about any guy.

The relatively new phenomenon of "hooking up" is, I suppose, more a phenomenon of college age girls than the teens. But between raising a daughter and being in the business of photographing girls (18+) I've overheard more than I really wanted to.

BTW, if girls have sex due to peer pressure, doesn't that imply that their peers are having sex?

A lesbian once told me the following joke, which needed to be explained to me:
Q: What does a lesbian bring on a second date?
A: A Uhaul.

Of course they are, but must you always twist my words and stray away from the original point? The original point was that guys are quicker to engage in meaningless sex than girls. Of course both genders do it but generally guys tend to do it more than girls

And by "peers," don't we mean other girls who are having sex?

Okay. I deny that guys are quicker than girls to engage in meaningless sex. For one thing, teen girls frequently have "meaningless sex" with other girls before their first heterosexual experience even though they aren't really lesbian, as a form of rehearsal. Boys pretty much never do this. If a boy has sex with another boy he is gay, very bisexual, or confused.
