Hold your nose and vote for the least offensive. I haven't had the luxury of voting for the winning presidential candidate in over twenty years. But the protest vote does get old. Just once to have someone you feel inspired to vote for would be a thrill. American politics is in a sad state of affairs.

I sort-of agree with Ed. Make the best out of a bad situation (because not-voting is acknowledging that it is okay to ignore the problem), but after you vote, make you complaints know to those around you, hope that they spread the same word, and be active in voicing your distress about this very serious issue (either in protest or petitions or what-have-you (if you have the time)). Or at-least that is what I try to do.

Apathy and non-participation can potentially be very dangerous. We must remember that even though the candidates might themselves be woefully inadequate the electoral process itself is still a beautiful thing.

Bobevt I belong to the National Atheist Party. Maintaining the separation is one of the main tenets of the platform. You should check em out. The eventual goal is to get candidates running for office. Every state has a chapter. http://www.usanap.org/
