Saying "I don't know" is a beautiful thing. It encourages us as a species to keep on searching for the true answer. The minute we make up fantasies to explain what we do not understand, and accept those fantasies as truth, is the minute that we embrace ignorance and all intellectual growth stops. Believing in comforting lies is easy. But every great discovery we have ever made, every great leap to understanding the world around us, is because someone had the bravery to ignore the comforting lies and admit "I don't know."
