Christians like William Lane Craig argue that their god’s existence is proved by the existence of the universe. It’s complexity, they say, requires a creator and that creator must be an infinite supernatural being. An atheist will ask “And who created this god?” and the Christian will reply: “God has no need of a creator because he is eternal.”
