Its been awhile since i blogged here but i had some thoughts on my head.

 

I think that religion (animism, poly, then monotheism) is so embedded in human history that its purpose was to articulate the chaos that makes up the natural world and also explains the suffering and frustration  afflicted by human inhabitants. In other words, religion provided a method for the worlds madness.

my mom completly ignores my athiesm.



today she asked me to wirte an e-mail the church for prayer for her surgury.



guess what i actually did it, and i have to say i've still got the religous langueage right.



but i find it facinating that she didn't hesitate to ask me even though i haven't gone to church with her for years.

I saw this and thought I had to share it.



My father would always saw to me that he refuses to pray to a white Jesus. and he also said that if he got to heaven the first question he would ask God is "Why did you make me Black?" and if he was reincarnated that he would come back as a white guy and enjoy the spoils of being on top. i always thought that was funny. Hello, I just officially joined Think Atheist and I'm now a member. I think its fiiting to mark my arrival here with an incident in my reccent transition to athiest thought.
