Back With Confidence

It's been a LONG time since I've been on this site and that has been a long journey.

But I'm here an agnostic atheist - but a much calmer one, a less angry. This I think is a much better place to be.

I'm no longer arguing about religion 99% of my waking day and I no longer feel like complete scum for being an atheist either.

I have morals, I have good morals in fact. I also have great passion and compassion for other people, for animals. I'm a good…

War On Christmas/Winterfest/Winterval

This has been going on since I was at school here in the UK (about 8 years... hmm feel old saying that) and suffice to say I'm tired of it.

First they said the Muslims wanted it changed, none of the Muslims I knew gave a rats ass about it being called Christmas! Some celebrated the traditional side of the festivities even.

What is your heaven?

I became a Christian just over a year ago now and although I had believe for most of my life before that (bar a few years as a "radical atheist"), I was never in the Christian community then and so I lacked knowledge of how to become a Christian and more specific knowledge about the faith.

For the Love of God

Being a thinking, critical, and questioning Christian is hard work. But intellectual arguments (mostly) aside, what about love. More specifically God's Love. God's ever present, unfailing, over-whelming, ya-can't-touch-this-even-if-you-were-MC-Hammer Love. How does one reach, recognise and feel that love?

Some of you may find this familiar but for those who don't, let me just take you on a brief tour of the process of becoming a Christian:

You've discovered God is real and have… Continue

Forever Rebel?

This path called Life is a strange one and one I plan on elaborating on but for now suffice to say that although my profile says I'm a Christian - and I am indeed a Christian - I'm a confused one, a questioning one.

This is far from a new thing for me, I was a believer for most of my life, then became an atheist, and then was born again and "properly a Christian", which involved all kinds of new things for me - just things I'd never given much thought before like baptism, church and… Continue
